New at Seawork this year is a cluster of Polish maritime companies showing a range of marine services and equipment. Anna Jafra is the International Business Development Manager for the Pomerania Development Agency, part of the Pomorskie Regional Self-Government Company. She says as an independent self-governing region located near to Gdansk, her aim is to support members with export activities and international networking.
The companies exhibiting at Seawork demonstrate a range of specialist services and equipment tailored for the commercial and military marine markets from Polship, Sea Clouds, 4Ocean Design, Nava and Baltic Diving Services. Centre stage on the stand is LKK’s CTV skipper training simulator. This provides a fully immersive experience with VR goggles and headphones, to provide a range of realistic conditions for Crew Transfer Vessel operations from leaving port, navigating through wind farms, approaching wind turbines and approaching an SUV. The software is fully customisable to create a variety of conditions for a range of vessels, from variable wind strength and wave heights to tricky night-time operations. As well as providing a full training service for CTV skippers, LKK will lease or sell the simulator to companies. The LKK training simulator has already been sold to a Japanese company operating a fleet of CTVs. Tomasz Lisiecki, CEO of LKK is at Seawork for the first time. “There’s a lot of potential partners and clients here, it’s a good environment for networking,” he said.
