The clean solution is available today

Willem Van Der Wel, Managing Director of Windcat Workboats BV is to join the Commercial Marine Network for the final session in the Get Set for Workboat 2050 series.

This final free-to-attend session will look ahead to the long term – 2035 onwards: The future fuel race – battery, hydrogen, ammonia etc… How do we go about commissioning a vessel in this changing environment?

Windcat Workboats, part of Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB), is Europe’s leading provider of specialist crew transfer vessels to the offshore wind power industry, oil and gas industry and other offshore projects..

Willem van der Wel joined Windcat over 10 years ago and has been involved in all aspects of the Windcat business from newbuilds to operational management as well as the chartering side of the business as Windcat’s Business Development Manager.

Willem has since taken the helm from the founders of Windcat Workboats, becoming Managing Director in 2019, and is now highly involved in the design, build and certification process of the vessels as well as the development of potential hydrogen infrastructures following the acquisition of Windcat Workboats in 2020 by Compagnie Maritime Belge, partner in developing the Hydrogen Dual Fuel CTV.

Register for this session to learn about Windcat's ambitious plans for the future and the development of the next generation hydrogen-powered CTV – Hydrocat.  Willem will also provide his insight on the company’s work on developing hydrogen refuelling stations.

Windcat and CMB are working together to develop clean fuel solutions to reduce the global carbon footprint in windfarm support vessels.  Join Session 5 to hear about the benefits of hydrogen as a fuel source and the positive impact this will have on reducing emissions as the commercial marine industry strives towards decarbonisation.

Register here for this final free-to-attend session of Workboat 2050.
