Jotron will be exhibiting its new personal locator beacon, the Tron SA20 PLB at Seawork 2024.
Launched earlier this year the Tron SA20 PLB is a personal locator beacon with global emergency alert coverage which can be used in worldwide offshore (maritime) and onshore (land based) applications. This PLB has a rugged and compact design and is one of the smallest 406MHz lifesaving devices on the market. Already successfully in use by customers worldwide, Jotron recently sent its first shipment of the Tron SA20 PLB to its US partner Datrex.
Tron SA20 PLB offers a unique 11-year battery lifetime. The PLB’s Return Link Service (RLS) feedback confirms that your distress signal is successfully received, and your location is determined. Tron SA20 PLB is a 406MHz Cospas-Sarsat approved personal emergency device which is developed and designed in accordance with the latest PLB standards.
Jotron SKIPPER is celebrating 50 years in the maritime market Jotron Skipper AS (formerly Skipper Electronics AS) was established as a brand by Simrad in 1973. In 1984, Skipper became an independently Norwegian owned company. Located in Oslo, Norway, the company is a leading manufacturer of echo sounders and speed logs for maritime navigation worldwide. Jotron AS acquired Skipper Electronics AS in 2023. The company was renamed to Jotron Skipper AS to ensure the continuity of the SKIPPER brand while capitalizing on the synergies between the organizations.
