Sailors’ Children’s Society is a national charity founded in 1821, supporting over 50,000 children of seafarers across the UK.Rooted in Hull’s proud maritime heritage, the charity began life aboard a floating chapel, The Valiant, and has since evolved into a national organisation helping families in crisis.We provide vital financial and emotional support to children from seafaring families who are in crisis. Our support reaches those connected to a wide range of maritime roles, including the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy, fishing fleets, ferries, cruise ships, and cargo vessels.With over 200 years of dedicated service, our mission remains the same: to stand by seafaring families when they need it most, ensuring no child of the sea is left behind.
