IASME is a UK-based cybersecurity certification body and an accreditation partner of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
As the sole delivery partner for Cyber Essentials on behalf of the NCSC, IASME provides a range of certifications and training to support organisations of all sizes in improving their cybersecurity posture.
The Maritime Cyber Baseline (MCB) scheme is specifically designed to help the maritime sector enhance cyber hygiene and mitigate the risk of cyberattacks on vessels.
It aligns with the IMO Maritime Cyber Risk Management guidelines and is open to vessels of all sizes and classifications.
The scheme offers two levels of assurance:
Level One – Verified Assessment: Organisations complete an online questionnaire covering IT and OT areas, which is reviewed by a certified assessor.
Level Two – Audited Assessment: A certified assessor conducts an in-depth audit to validate the information provided and examine cybersecurity practices.
MCB provides a practical, cost-effective way for organisations to demonstrate their commitment to cybersecurity.
