EXHIBITING SUSTAINABLY

As an exhibitor at Seawork, there are several ways to promote sustainability and reduce your environmental impact.

Here are some ways you can exhibit more sustainably:

Reduce your waste
As a part of our commitment to continually enhance sustainability, all stands are required to be formed as a reusable structure. Exhibitors should minimize waste by using materials that are designed for reuse and repurpose.
Use sustainable materials
Choose materials that are environmentally friendly such as bamboo, recycled plastic, or biodegradable materials.
Aim for a paperless stand
Use digital marketing materials instead of paper. This includes digital brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials. Order data capture apps for stand staff to reduce the use of business cards.
Choose sustainable giveaways
Give away items that are environmentally friendly, such as reusable water bottles, tote bags, or bamboo utensils.
Use LED lights
LED lights are energy-efficient and can help reduce your electricity usage. They also last longer than traditional light bulbs, reducing the amount of waste generated.
Avoid single use plastic
Try to use alternatives to plastic banners and signage, such as fabric banners or digital displays. Avoid the use of single-use plastics. Provide stand staff with refillable water bottles. Water stations are placed onsite encouraging visitors and exhibitors to bring their own re-usable water bottles.
Reduce carbon emissions from transport and travel
Shuttle buses run regularly from Southampton Central station to / from event. Try to use local suppliers to reduce transport time for materials. Encourage staff to use public transport or carpool to the event.
Choose sustainable giveaways
Give away items that are environmentally friendly, such as reusable water bottles, tote bags, or bamboo utensils.
