Ocealis, a maritime operations and compliance platform designed for small commercial craft operators, will officially launch at Seawork 2026, introducing a more connected and practical way to manage vessel operations, safety, crew, and maintenance.
Built specifically for sub-24m commercial operators, Ocealis helps teams stay compliant, reduce administration, and improve safety by bringing vessel, crew, and maintenance management into a single easy-to-use platform. The system is designed to work both online and offline, supporting crews in real operating conditions at sea.
Ocealis has been developed by maritime safety specialist John Peacock and engineer Ben Lake. The platform brings together operational activity, crew inputs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation to give operators clearer oversight of their fleet and day-to-day performance.
A simpler approach to compliance and fleet management Ocealis replaces multiple disconnected systems, spreadsheets, and paper-based processes with one central platform designed around the realities of commercial maritime operations. It enables operators to manage vessel and crew information in one place, automate reminders for inspections and servicing, and maintain clear oversight of compliance requirements. All key documents are stored securely and remain accessible even without an internet connection, syncing automatically when back online.
“Ocealis is built around how people actually work on the water,” said Ben Lake, Co-Founder of Ocealis. “Operators should not have to rely on several different systems to stay on top of compliance. We have focused on keeping everything in one place, making it easy to use, and ensuring it still works when connectivity is limited.”
Designed for real operational environments Ocealis is built specifically for commercial marine operators working in demanding environments where simplicity and reliability matter. The platform supports sub-24m commercial craft, high-frequency maintenance schedules, multi-vessel fleets, and varied compliance requirements across different operating contexts.
Offline functionality is a core part of the system, allowing crews to complete checks, report defects, and access essential information without an internet connection. Data then synchronises automatically once connectivity is restored. Improving safety, reliability, and operational efficiency By connecting vessel checks, maintenance planning, and compliance management, Ocealis helps operators take a more proactive approach to safety and fleet performance. This supports reduced downtime through better maintenance planning, improved visibility across fleets, and faster identification of recurring operational issues.
“Too often, systems in this space add more admin rather than removing it,” said John Peacock, Co-Founder of Ocealis. “We have focused on making operations simpler and more reliable, particularly for crews working in environments where time and connectivity are limited.”
Visitors will be able to see live demonstrations of the Ocealis platform on Stand WB5, explore how the system supports day-to-day operations, and speak directly with the team about implementation and integration. Ocealis will also host a launch session in the Seawork Event Space on Tuesday 9th June at 13.30 - 14.30, offering an early look at the product roadmap and future development plans.
