Dubai-based Grandweld Shipyards has delivered two Dive Support Vessels to ADNOC Group (ADNOC Logistics & Services), the first of their kind vessels are said to be a game changer in offshore diving operations.
This important contract required high-specification catamarans customised to be both compact but packed full of specialised diving equipment.
Accommodating seven divers in total, the vessels meet stringent ADNOC requirements and are certified for both IMCA and Hazardous Zone 2 standards.
ADNOC L&S specified large deck areas, greater stability and higher speeds; all of which are catered for via the catamaran hull configuration. The ADNOC cats will ensure divers get to the field of operation faster than previously, thanks to the lightweight, aluminium hulls and efficient hull forms that also allow for shallow draft operations.
The onboard Twin Lock Decompression Chamber, accommodating up to 3 divers, will enable remote area extended diving operations to be carried out in safety.
