Targeting continued growth in the commercial workboat and defence sectors, Honda Marine Europe is making its debut at Speed@Seawork.
The outboard engine specialist is attending the one-day event for high-performance vessels operating in security, defence, intervention, and Search And Rescue to showcase its growing capability to offer tailored solutions for demanding operational environments.
Honda Marine Europe will highlight how its outboards, designed to maximise longevity, durability, high torque and efficient performance, meet the key requirements for a range of commercial applications.
The focus at Speed@Seawork will be on the power and fuel efficiency of the Honda BF350 V8 outboard. On display will be a purpose-engineered ballistic engine cover, developed in partnership with ASL GRP, a specialist composites manufacturer based on the Isle of Wight.
Andy Partington, European Business Development Manager, Honda Marine Europe, said, “The commercial marine sector is an important and growing area for Honda Marine, in line with the industry shift we are seeing from inboard to outboard-powered vessels.
“The defence sector is also a key focus, with Honda Marine working closely with boat builders to develop bespoke solutions tailored to specific client requirements. We are building on a strong foundation, with Honda Marine engines established as the benchmark engine due to their reputation in real-world applications such as the U.S. Coast Guard.
"Speed@Seawork provides a valuable opportunity for us to engage with both new and existing customers across the European commercial sector, helping to strengthen our relationships within this key market."
The Honda BF350 and V6 outboards deliver strong, reliable performance across a wide range of modern working vessels, including patrol boats and support craft.
They feature a suite of exclusive Honda technologies designed to enhance reliability, performance and efficiency. These include Boosted Low Speed Torque (BLAST™), which advances the ignition curve for significantly improved holeshot acceleration; Variable Valve Timing & Electronic Control (VTEC®), providing smooth, responsive power throughout the operating range while optimising fuel efficiency; and ECOmo, which further enhances fuel economy.
In addition, Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) ensures effortless starting, instant throttle response, strong performance, and reduced fuel consumption, making these engines a dependable choice for demanding commercial applications. Speed@Seawork brings together military, security and commercial marine sectors to showcase cutting-edge advances in vessel design, propulsion, navigation, communications, and crew safety.
