Throughout March, Marine Specialised Technology (MST) successfully delivered a comprehensive annual maintenance programme for the UK Ministry of Defence vessel, TARKA.
MST restored the MoD vessel TARKA to peak condition. Led by MST’s expert Service Engineers, the "bow-to-stern" overhaul ensured the craft returned to service in peak operational and aesthetic condition.
This "bow-to-stern" overhaul included engine servicing, safety upgrades, and hull repairs, ensuring full compliance and a like-new finish.
The technical team performed deep-level servicing of the main engines, generator, and all deck machinery, including critical winch and crane systems. Safety was paramount, with full lighting replacements and bilge system overhauls completed. By collaborating with OEM partners, MST secured all annual certifications, guaranteeing full industry compliance.
The vessel also saw a major visual transformation. Following two years in the water, the hull underwent gelcoat and fibreglass repairs before a professional repaint. Finally, specialists revitalised the deck with fresh crushed glass grit and flowcoat, enhancing both durability and safety.
