Celebrations at Landau Group as new headquarters is officially opened at Supermarine Quay on the 90th anniversary of the birth of the iconic Spitfire. Guests were treated to tours, talks, a demonstration of a Merlin engine and, topping it all, a Spitfire fly past and encore.
Situated on the banks of the river Itchen in Woolston, Hampshire UK on the historic site of the first Supermarine Spitfire factory, the 9000 sq ft site houses Landau Marine, Landau Haulage and Landau Properties, and now a mix of rental offices and shared space for marine SMEs and start-ups.
The creation of Landau’s new marine hub aims to build a dynamic environment that fosters inter-trading and collaboration between professional start-ups and SMEs. Acting as an incubator for new ideas, entrepreneurs and innovators will have plenty of space to develop and test their concepts. The potential exchange of ideas, resources and expertise paves the way for the birth of ground-breaking innovations and advancements in the marine sector.
