ROAM Boats will be exhibiting two of its most versatile craft at Seawork next week, bringing both the RX Beachlander 8 and the Inflatable Landing Craft (ILC) to one of the largest on-water commercial marine exhibitions.
Designed for demanding professional, military, expedition and superyacht operations, both vessels demonstrate ROAM’s focus on practical design, operational flexibility and reliable performance in challenging environments.
The RX Beachlander 8 is a purpose-built aluminium landing and utility craft developed for rapid personnel transfer, beach operations, patrol duties and tender applications. With an 8-metre hull, CE Category B certification and capacity for up to eight passengers plus two crew, the Beachlander combines robust construction with excellent seakeeping characteristics and a dedicated bow landing platform for efficient shore access. The vessel's foam-filled collar system provides additional buoyancy and impact protection, while its fully welded marine-grade aluminium hull is engineered for intensive professional use.
Adding to its Seawork presence, the RX Beachlander will also be participating in Speed@Seawork on the Isle of Wight, where visitors and industry professionals will have the opportunity to see the vessel's performance capabilities in action.
Alongside the RX Beachlander, ROAM will be presenting its Inflatable Landing Craft (ILC), a highly portable drop-stitch inflatable platform designed for rapid deployment and operations in remote or infrastructure-limited environments. The 5.5-metre craft features a reinforced bow ramp for efficient loading and unloading of personnel, vehicles and equipment, while maintaining a compact footprint for transport and storage. The craft inflates and deflates in 10 minutes using diving tanks and packs into a compact 3 x 1 m bag. Built using military-grade materials and designed for demanding operational use, the ILC offers a practical solution for beach landings, utility work and expedition support.
"Both the RX Beachlander and the Inflatable Landing Craft have been developed around the same principle – providing operators with practical, dependable platforms that can perform where conventional craft often cannot," explains Josh Richardson, CEO of ROAM. "Seawork provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how these vessels can support a wide range of professional and specialist applications."
Visitors attending Seawork are invited to meet the ROAM team to discuss operational requirements, vessel capabilities and customisation options across the range.
ROAM designs and builds specialist craft for professional, expedition, military, rescue and superyacht applications, combining practical innovation with robust construction to deliver reliable performance across a wide range of operational environments.
With offices in the UK and Monaco, ROAM offers a range of boats from 5.5m – 12m RIBs through to its Dive Vessels and Yacht Support Vessels. Each boat is semi-custom, allowing owners to tailor specifications to their individual requirements. ROAM tenders provide a comfortable, safe, fast and dry expedition platform, featuring integrated lifting points, ease of servicing, folding T-Tops and a range of custom options to suit individual operational needs.
