RIBs, Tugs, Pilot Boats and much more are all in attendance
The on-the-water display of vessels and floating plant has been a key component of Seawork’s enduring success, and the 2026 edition next month will continue to deliver.
Two of the larger vessels on display on the pontoons immediately adjacent to the Exhibition Hall are Pilot Boats, with the award-winning Goodchild Marine Services showcasing their 17.63m ORC 171, one of their extensive range of Pilot and Patrol Boats.
Designed by French naval architect Pantocarene, its innovative beak bow design allows high speeds in bad weather, and the hull design makes significant reductions in fuel consumption – around £80,000 per year according to Goodchild.
Holyhead Marine has been operating for over 60 years and also has an enviable reputation for quality and technical innovation in the marine industry. Their 16m Pilot Boat is designed by Camarc Design Ltd, and provides fast and efficient running at transfer speeds, combined with excellent seakeeping in part thanks to its advanced double chine hull.
Also set to make an impression on the Damen Shipyards pontoon dock is the compact, multipurpose 21m ASD Tug 2111 whose patented Twin Fin skeg, plus twin Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) thrusters, ensure excellent manoeuvrability. Nearby will be Damen’s 10.4m heavy-duty HDPE Workboat 1003 Superstructure. Its wide, stable hull and modular superstructure suit diverse roles including patrol, harbour, survey, and offshore support.
Among its range of marine business activities The Berthon Boat Company is well-known for its range of resilient and durable Gemini RIBs which are tried and tested around the world in the most extreme conditions and dangerous operations.
On display is their Gemini 1060 Cabin RIB, similar to the one delivered to the Royal Montserrat Police Service in January 2026. Built for offshore enforcement and border security operations, this 10.6-metre platform demonstrates the speed, endurance, crew protection and surveillance capability now in service with the RMPS. Berthon will also have a Gemini 880 and Gemini 780 on display at the VersadockPontoon.
Diverse Marine designs and builds high-performance workboats for demanding offshore operations including crew transfer, patrol and specialist applications. On display on their pontoon will be the Purus Phantom, the new 12-metre CSOV Daughter Craft, built for HST Purus. This next-generation vessel is one of the greenest in the industry and represents a new standard in compact offshore support craftaccording to Diverse.
Operating in a similar area ESVAGT are showing their specialised 15-metre daughter craft STB 15 B (Safe Transfer Boat 15), developed for the offshore wind and energy sectors. Deployed from larger Service Operation Vessels (SOVs), it transports technicians and cargo in challenging conditions.
Coastworker Boats, built by Isle of Wight-based BVD Marine, are a regular fixture at Seawork with their robust commercial workboats, this year highlighting their Sea Ranger model.
Another Isle of Wight boat builder is Cheetah Marine, a specialist in design and power catamarans, who will showcase their custom-built high-performance 11.2m power catamaran Endgame. Built to exact client specifications, the vessel is engineered to reach top speeds of 47 knots while maintaining a comfortable and stable ride in rough offshore waters.
A specialist in custom bespoke engineering for advanced propulsion systems, Barrus will be at Seawork featuring a high-torque Cox Marine 300hp Diesel located in an Arctic 24 RIB.
On the superyacht tender front, ROAM will be on site with both their RX Beachlander, a versatile and robust military-inspired 8-metre utility tender, and the rugged ROAM Inflatable Landing Craft designed to unlock, says ROAM, ‘a new level of convenience and utility for adventurous yacht owners’.
The maritime security sector will also be well represented at Seawork 2026. The recently formed UK Border Security Command (BSC) have a pontoon location for their Delta Coastal Law Enforcement Craft, while Sargo Boats will put their Sargo 36 Sentinel front and centre. The rugged, custom-built, 38-foot all-weather response vessel was manufactured in Finland and delivered as part of a 5-year partnership with the UK's Dorset Police, so is specifically designed to tackle the challenging and varied coastal waters of the English Channel.
The Metropolitan Police's Marine Policing Unit (MPU) routinely participates in Seawork and showcases their vessels – for 2026 the Zodiac Hurricane Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boat, normally located on the Thames at Wapping.
Standing at the forefront of inflatable marine technology, Zodiac Milpro will of course have their own dedicated space where they will be featuring the elite, heavy-duty aluminium SRA855 RIB, as well as the specialized SRC 700 (Sea Rider Composite) RIB designed primarily for military, tactical and professional maritime operations.
Also out on the pontoons a leading provider of marine solutions and services, Ambex Marine, will be showcasing their GiDE (Guidance in Denied Environment) System. GiDE is currently installed on multiple government owned fast crafts, and at Seawork 2026 it will be hosted aboard the well-known XSMG XSR 48 powerboat.
Sharing the hi-tech space will be CGI with their CGI OpenSea360 mission system, which powers high-speed maritime patrol boats and craft. These vessels rely on CGI’s software-centric technology for advanced sensor integration, mini-ECDIS, and command-and-control operations in complex, high-intensity maritime missions.
Seawork 2026 – Europe’s leading annual commercial marine and workboat exhibition and conference – is taking place in Southampton from 9-12 June.
