Seawork 2026 has provided exhibitor, ST Engineering with the perfect launch opportunity to showcase its innovative new suite of ZAEL products to the UK and Europe. Launched at the Singapore Marine Technology Week in April 2026, ZAEL monitors vessel efficiency and performance in real-time.
ZAEL is ST Engineering’s intelligent ship insights layer designed to complement existing ship control and monitoring systems, transforming them into smarter, more proactive platforms. By consolidating operational, performance and safety data into a unified foundation, ZAEL enables advanced analytics that convert raw data into actionable insights for better decision-making. The product includes four modules: ‘Sight’ for efficiency, ‘Pulse’ for predictive maintenance, ‘Watch’ for digital watchkeeping and ‘Scribe’ for safety and compliance.
ZAEL primarily uses advanced data analytics and machine learning for predictive maintenance and failure alert function. ST Engineering demonstrated ZAEL’s performance at Speed@seawork across multiple vessels, showing visitors its pioneering capabilities.
Junwei Fan, Team Lead, ZAEL Marine from ST Engineering explained, “Participants at Speed were able to connect to our device to plot and monitor their whole performance in real time, in minutes, even out at sea. The feedback we received was really positive.”
Headquartered in Singapore, ST Engineering is a global technology, defence and engineering group with a diverse portfolio of businesses across the aerospace, smart city, defence and public security segments. It aims to expand further into the commercial marine sector and is leveraging Seawork to connect with vessel owners, fleet managers, and port authorities. Fan continued, “This is the third year we’ve attended Seawork which we see as the perfect channel for us to tap into the UK, as well as the larger European market. “We know ZAEL provides full insights onboard, which help with everything from performance to efficiency to safety. We know the importance of these factors in the UK and Europe, which highlights the value of ZAEL in these markets. Seawork gives us the perfect platform for introducing these products to the right people.”
