Graeme Lloyd is walking the Military Miles from Bovington to Portsmouth from 18-24 June in aid of the MND Association and the Veterans Foundation. Graeme dropped into Seawork to raise awareness and meet his supporters from Landau Marine.
The 7-day, 125-mile walk starts at the Bovington Tank Museum and ends at Navy Headquarters.Throughout the route, service personnel from the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force will join the walkers at various points Military bases and local communities will also play an active role, hosting fundraising events and helping to amplify awareness.
Graeme works for the MOD and is one of three colleagues, each representing one of the three Services and each kitted up in fabulous 3-D printed costumes to match.
Military Miles is more than a physical challenge—it is a collective effort to support those who have served their country, as well as individuals and families affected by MND. Raising funds for MND (Motor Neurone Disease) is very close to Graeme's heart, having lost three very close female family members to the disease.
Landau Marine's Wendy Wood and Roger Cerrato will be supporting the Military Miles by walking with Graeme from Warsash to HMS Collingwood, scheduled for Monday 22 June.
