About the Speaker

Having attained the position of Executive Officer & General Secretary of the UK Harbour Masters Association, the position allows me to act at the highest level of Maritime engagement, consultation and policy development. Previously I have been employed in Port management for over 18 years as Harbour Master & Marine Director in ports with varying commercial operations including Major Trust Ports & Municipal Harbour Authority's.
I have previously served on the British Ports Association Executive Council and have held the position of Vice President & Executive Council member of the UK Harbour Masters Association . I am an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute and a full member of the Society of Consulting Marine Engineers and Ship Surveyors .
I have project managed many significant Port developments and major events, including Royal visits, Tall ship events, major conferences and public events and have been part of significant Emergency and Accident incident investigations and salvage operations.
