Barry McCooey is the Founder and Managing Director of Marine and Hazardous Engines Ltd, M&H Engines for short. Working with a small team they have designed, developed, patented and manufactured a range of marine engines that "Meets and Exceeds all known and future marine emission regulations worldwide". A single solutfion that meets all the regulations wherever you sail. He is passionate about diesel engines, making improvements for the application or by reducing the emissions produced. Barry has been involved with diesel engines all his life and has worked around the world supporting a wide range of customers from tunnelling projects, construction, offshore, marine and yachts through his other company ML Power Systems, which provides specialist diesel engine support. Over the years Barry has been involved with a number of projects that has given him an in-depth knowledge and understanding of a wide range of applications, regulations and fuels. With a background in alternative fuels and retro-fit exhaust after-treatment he is able to understand and asses the benefits a advantages of different engine technologies and how they all play a future in reducing emissions as we move forward to Net Zero. When he is not working, he can be found with the family's dogs and horses.
