About the Speaker

Andy serves as the Operations Director at Marine Zero, a company leading the maritime sector’s transition to a sustainable, zero emissions future.

Andy has extensive maritime operational and management experience, having worked in professions linked with the sea throughout most of his working life. Andy holds an unrestricted Master Mariners certificate and has worked within the senior management group within the RNLI. More recently Andy has led several projects for a Plymouth based passenger vessel operator, including the development of the UKs first fully electric seagoing passenger vessel. Andy has also worked with the Cornwall Marine Hydrogen Centre to assist them with the development of the UK's first hydrogen fuel cell test rig designed for use on small commercial and pleasure vessels and supporting the development of training for hydrogen and electric vessel operation. 


Andy has an excellent working relationship with the leading classification societies and MCA.
