About the Speaker

Shae Wallace is a Phase 5 (final year) Deck cadet, training to become an Officer of the watch Unlimited. He will be representing Maritime London, as he talks about his experiences of the 3 year training programme. Most notably, Shae will be talking about his time onboard the RRS Sir David Attenborough and how this experience helped him understand the maritime world in a whole new perspective. Through out the course of his 5 month trip onboard, he sailed from Scotland to Antarctica, navigating through treacherous seas and difficult ice conditions. During the talk we look into the Highs and lows of being a trainee in this unique environment."

Lively sessions aimed at visiting schools, colleges and universities, with inspirational talks from professionals in the commercial marine industry and featuring video footage of their working days.
