The Seawork Awards sponsored by Nova Shipyard, attracts entries from across Europe, recognising the depth of excellence in the commercial marine industry. The Seawork Awards celebrate outstanding innovations from the companies and individuals that comprise this vibrant and productive industry sector.


Judged by a panel of industry experts and chaired by the editor of Maritime Journal, the Seawork Awards are presented at the awards evening on the opening day of Seawork, Tuesday 9 June 2026 from 17.30.


The ceremony is held in Seawork’s spectacular Waterfront restaurant overlooking the Seawork Marina. Following welcome drinks and canapes, the evening will see the presentation of the coveted Seawork Awards.

All Innovation Awards entries are displayed on the Innovations Showcase in a prominent location at Seawork and are displayed on the website prior to the event and for several months post event. This gives businesses the ability to get their innovations fast-tracked to the forefront of the marine industry.

The high level of innovation and cutting-edge technology is a must-see for all visitors and exhibitors at Seawork, each entry is seen by a wide audience of over 7,500 marine professionals. Each innovation category winner receives a Seawork Innovation Award, with the overall winner presented with the coveted "Spirit of Innovation" trophy at the Seawork Awards ceremony.

People & Projects awards:


Maritime Sustainability Award, sponsored by Suzuki, Clean Ocean Project

This award is presented to an organisation or individual who has demonstrated a commitment to the environment or sustainability.


Marine Civils Best Project Award

The Marine Civils Best Project award is presented to a company for a project that demonstrates overcoming challenges in marine civils or vessel operations.


Young Person's Development Award

This award offers young people, from 16 – 25 years of age, who are currently studying for, or beginning, a career in the maritime industry, an opportunity to

achieve industry recognition and a bursary to help further their career.


Maritime Professional of the Year Award

This award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to their organisation or the industry as a whole and the winner is voted for by

their peers.


Outstanding Contribution Award

This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding commitment and made a meaningful contribution to their organisation or the

wider industry. The winner is recognised for their positive impact and dedication.


Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Mercator & Maritime Journal

This award honours an individual whose whose long-standing commitment, leadership, and achievements have shaped the industry and left a lasting

legacy.

Anyone who is a Seawork exhibitor, or one of their employees, can enter or be nominated.


There are just 2 rules to qualify an entry:

  • The equipment, service, or vessel entry must have been released to market in the period since the last Seawork (10 - 12 June 2025). Project entries must have been launched within this time frame.
  • The entry must be innovative (not simply a product enhancement)

If you have an entry that fits both of the above criteria and want to showcase it to key industry professionals, then make sure you enter the Innovation Awards.


Entry for Seawork Exhibitors is free. Non-exhibitors will be subject to an entry fee of £550.
