Series 4 - Episode 1 of Session 1 will feature Barry McCooey, Founder and Managing Director of Marine and Hazardous Engines Ltd. Barry joins this session to tackle the subject of 'Practical steps to make engines & propulsion as sustainable as possible'.

Barry will present on 'How do we get to Net Zero and Zero Emissions with the Diesel Engine?' We all see the need for reducing Green House Gas and CO2 and to meet various emissions targets in the coming years.  As vessel owners and operators how is this done, what fuel and technology should be used and when should the next steps be taken? How does this technology fit into the existing fleets and how will it impact fleet operations?

What if there was a technology that would fit into your existing vessels without major engineering, and runs and operates like the vessels do today on a liquid fuel similar to what you use today? What if these engines could be Carbon Neutral and have the lowest possible PM and NOx emissions.
