About
How can autonomy deliver real commercial value in live maritime operations today?

Autonomous and semi-autonomous systems are now operating in live maritime environments, but commercial outcomes vary by application and operating conditions. This session focuses on where autonomy is delivering real cost or efficiency gains, the operational challenges encountered in service, and understanding where we are in regards to classification and regulation. Speakers will share applied experience to help operators assess whether autonomy can deliver value today and what is required to deploy it safely and commercially.

Commercial resilience and operational performance are central themes across the 2026 programme. These free-to-attend, bite-size sessions focus on where emerging technologies and operational choices are delivering measurable value in service.

Drawing on real-world experience, sessions will explore the commercial realities of autonomy, the performance and risk profile of different propulsion systems, and how vessel operations and infrastructure can adapt to evolving offshore wind market conditions.
