Composites UK to host forum at Seawork

Composites UK, a supporting association of Seawork, will be hosting a special forum session to highlight composites in the marine sector, covering topics such as; available support; sustainability and recycling; skills and the Composite Trailblazer Apprenticeship.

The event will be part of the free-to-attend Business Briefings and will be held on the first afternoon of Seawork 2019, Tuesday 11 June.

Claire Whysall, Communications Manager at Composites UK said; “Following on from our member stand at last year’s event we are delighted to be supporting Seawork again but this time on a larger scale. The forum session gives those new to fibre-reinforced polymer composites a helping hand as to where they can find support. We are also delighted to have negotiated preferential exhibitor rates which will help our members showcase their businesses to the maritime market.”

It currently has over three hundred members and offers them a range of services including an annual conference, a composites hub newsletter, statistics, reducing risk with self-audit Health and Safety assistance, input on industry standards, marketing packages, exhibitions assistance when exhibiting at selected industry shows, sector-specific networking and support, CLF representation, industry awards and factory visits.
