DIANA selects Hefring Marine for Mission Track programme

NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) has selected 10 new companies to join Mission Track, its programme to advance innovative technologies into operational capabilities.
Hefring Marine was already part of DIANA's ecosystem, having been selected to participate in its 2026 Accelerator Programme, and will now receive a further EUR300,000 in funding alongside “tailored support to accelerate adoption”. Mission Track is only available to companies on the Accelerator Programme that demonstrate a “strong defence pull” and align with the operational needs of the alliance. According to NATO, the companies have already begun to focus on scaling up their technologies.
The Accelerator Programme includes a cohort of 150 companies which each received EUR100,000 to develop their dual-use technologies. The companies have also been provided with access to more than 200 test centres, as well as a network of military and industry expertise.
Jyoti Hirani-Driver, Acting Managing Director of NATO DIANA, said that Mission Track bridges the gap between innovations and “real-world impact”. “We have already seen [the companies’] exceptional promise, and we look forward to helping them turn their innovations into operational advantage that matters to the alliance,” she said.
The 10 companies join an initial five businesses that have been participating in Mission Track since May this year.
