Scotland-based Macduff Ship Design will open its first regional branch in Devon, allowing the firm to work closely with local clients as well as across England and Wales.
The new southwest England branch, scheduled to open in early 2027, will provide naval architectural support to fishing vessel owners and commercial marine operators.
The new office will offer stability assessments and regulatory support, vessel conversion and modifications, new vessel design and development and naval architecture consultancy. It will work closely with the main office in Macduff, Scotland to support these services.
“We are excited to establish a permanent presence in the South-West and look forward to supporting both existing and new clients in the region,” said Ian Ellis, managing director Macduff Ship Design. “The new branch will enhance our ability to provide responsive, hands-on support for the fishing and commercial marine sectors.”
