HamiltonJet has marked a key milestone in the company’s growing presence in Malaysia with the signing of two MOUs. The two significant projects encompass sixteen vessels.
The first project, in collaboration with Gading Marine Industry, is for the provision of waterjet propulsion systems for thirteen 17.5m Patrol Vessels. The second comprises systems for three 40m vessels for the Sarawak Coast Guard, in partnership with Sarawak Slipways.
The region is an increasingly important market for HamiltonJet which recently broke ground on a new state-of-the-art production facility in Christchurch, New Zealand. The company is looking to boost production capacity overall by up to 40% to support growing global demand with much shorter lead times.
The 7,320 sqm plant has an expected completion date of April 2026. The facility will house advanced CNC machining, temperature-controlled environments, and a safer, more efficient paint process. It’s also built with future-ready capacity for rooftop solar panels.
