Speakers from Go Climate Positive and The Carbon Trust will get the fifth series of the popular Get Set for Workboat 2025 off to a flying start.
Focussing on Environment Management plans, the first presentation will come from Eoin McQuone, the Chief Carbon Coach and founder of “Go Climate Positive”, an organisation dedicated to helping small to medium sized businesses reduce their carbon footprint and prepare for the low-carbon economy. Eoin is no stranger to the commercial aspects of environmental management plans, having worked in manufacturing companies for over 30 years, and is a Practitioner member of the Institute of Environmental Management and a member of the Carbon Accounting Alliance.
Lawrence Campbell, Maritime Lead for Corporates at the Carbon Trust will then explore the latest project from the Carbon Trust. With a career that spans engineering and sustainability, Lawrence specialises in carbon Footprinting and decarbonization strategies. He helps organisations understand their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and develop strategies to help navigate the fuel and energy transition in the maritime sector.
The first session of Series 5 of Get Set for Workboat 2025 will be held at the Workboat Association AGM on the 18 November at Oulton Hall, Leeds. Designed to appeal to a wide audience, the session will address not only the advantages of maintaining and updating Environment Management plans but also look at the technology that can facilitate successful implementation.
Led by Workboat Association CEO, Kerrie Forster and moderated by Andy Page, Managing Director, Chartwell Marine, the session is sponsored by Damen, AST Reygar and Hefring.
This Get Set for Workboat 2050 Series session is free-to-attend, but delegates should note that other events at Oulton Hall are for The Workboat Association members only.
