Richard Blair will be joining, or should that be re-joining, engine and component distributors and suppliers SLX Group ; this time as Procurement Manager.
Richard is a familiar face to many in the company as he worked at Simplex-Turbulo some years ago when his work was instrumental in building up the Wärtsilä engines spares business. He built strong relationships with a number of suppliers during his years there so the company is confident that he will hit the ground running on his return.
Richard’s time away from Simplex-Turbulo saw him continue working in the marine and engine sectors and enjoying travelling, pandemic permitting. The company reached out to Richard after recent changes at management level and found him very keen to join the growing business with renewed enthusiasm and his solid experience.
Colleagues who used to work with Richard remember that one of the last sightings in his previous role with the company was in the fields around the Wherwell Priory estate, their old office location which is pictured here. Looks like he knows he’ll be back!
