Jotron’s’ Lorraine Hood was invited to visit 18 year old Harry Besley on his purpose built e-Rib at this year’s Seawork Exhibition.
Harry is preparing to travel around the UK on a Rigid Inflatable Boat, but not with a traditional outboard engine – with an electric one! This World Record attempt aims to showcase some of the technologies which are leading the market in zero emission propulsion and will help develop knowledge, skills and infrastructure at approx. 40 locations around the UK.
Jotron has provided the intrepid young mariner with the latest AIS GMDSS equipment for the voyage, including a AIS-EPRIB, AIS-SART, GMDSS & VHF Radio and our latest PLB for the support crew.
