The HMG Zone at Seawork provides a point of presence for a number of Government Departments and Organisations. This year, attendees include; the National Shipbuilding Office, Boats, Autonomous & Specialised Marine Operations Team (MOD), Department for Business and Trade, SME Engagement Team - National Armaments International MOD, UK Defence Innovation and the Royal Navy’s Commercial and Enterprise Engagement teams.
The National Shipbuilding Office (NSO) The National Shipbuilding Office acts as a voice within government representing the interests of shipbuilders and is currently developing a new Shipbuilding and Maritime Technology Action Plan. They are keen to meet UK-based vessel builders and supply chain companies to understand capabilities and challenges.
The MOD’s Boats, Autonomous & Specialised Marine Operations Team oversees procurement and support for all boats used by the armed forces. If you're a boat builder with new products or ideas, they may visit your stand. They primarily work with a few prime contractors, so if your offering is part of a larger system, they can guide you on which contractor to approach.
SME Engagement Team, National Armaments International, MOD and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) Commercial Maritime team support Defence and Commercial with export advice, including access to UK Export Finance. SMEs looking to export will benefit from connecting with them.

17 Port & Maritime Regiment RLC is based at Marchwood, near Southampton, the unit deploys regularly around the world in support of operations. We provide the UK Armed Forces' only specialist; Port & Maritime, Vehicle Support Specialist, Operational Hygiene.
MEXEFLOTE
The Mexeflote is the largest logistic landing craft in Defence. Operated exclusively by the Royal Logistic Corps, the platform guarantees theatre entry regardless of access to a Port.
It is capable of transferring a cargo of vehicles and equipment up to 198 tonnes and is routinely deployed worldwide via Royal Fleet Auxiliary Landing Ship Dock Auxiliary.
Army Work Boat
The Army work boat is designed to enable the provision of fuel to a deployed force via the towing of fuel dracones, positioning of single-point mooring buoys for fuel pipelines, fire-fighting and assistance to Mexeflote operations.
Combat Support Boat
The Combat Support Boat is a powerful, versatile craft whose major role is to support both bridging and amphibious operations. Water jet propulsion allows high thrust at shallow draught.
The Border Security Command provides strategic leadership across the border security system and BSC Maritime plays a critical role within the Command by underpinning the delivery of high-profile government priorities with direct operational delivery.
