It’s a homegrown win for ISKRA Shipyard as the yard is selected to build a €17.5 million Coastal Patrol Vessel (CPV) for the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia.
ISKRA faced strong international competition for the public tender. The win recognises ISKRA’s recent successful history in delivering complex, high-standard vessels for public institutions and maritime security.
The vessel is designed by Metal Shark Boats Croatia, a long-standing partner of ISKRA with the two companies working together to deliver SAR and emergency medical vessels.
The aluminium hulled 37.4m CPV will have a max speed of 30kts with a range of 1,200 NM at 25 kts. She will be capable of up to 5 days at sea without intervention.
Designed for border protection, maritime surveillance, search and rescue operations, and deployment within the FRONTEX framework, the vessel will significantly strengthen Croatia’s maritime security capabilities.
Construction starts immediately with delivery scheduled within 28 months.
