The new ROAM C12 Dive Catamaran. A purpose-built vessel engineered exclusively for diving and yacht support, setting a new benchmark for expedition craft in the superyacht sector.
Where most dive boats begin life as modified guest tenders, the C12 is a clean-sheet design that places divers and operational efficiency at its core. A shallow 0.6 m static draft, expansive open deck, and generous beam make the C12 exceptionally capable in both shallow-water landings and open-ocean conditions. The result is a rugged yet refined platform that can comfortably carry up to 14 guests and two crew, with circulation and seating layouts engineered specifically around the flow of dive operations.
Engineered for the dive experience
Every element on board has been created with divers in mind.
A beach-lander bow ramp enables direct access onto beaches and remote shorelines, while a large deck and swim platform with heavy-duty steps streamline water entry, exit, and tank handling. Purpose-designed BCD donning stations, tank racks, and configurable gear storage provide the organisation and safety expected from a professional dive centre. A dedicated storage rack can also be installed to keep your DAN kit secure, clearly organised and ready for rapid access when needed.
The twin-hull catamaran design enhances stability and interior volume, offering significantly more space than a comparable monohull tender. Jet-drive propulsion minimises underwater disturbance, improving safety for divers and reducing impact
on sensitive marine environments.
Comfort hasn’t been overlooked either: air conditioning, Starlink connectivity, custom audio systems and modular shading options ensure a premium experience whether the vessel is serving as a hard-working dive platform or a guest-ready tender.
Adaptable by design
In line with ROAM’s ethos for modular, semi-custom design, the C12 can be built with either a high-end filled-and-faired finish for seamless superyacht integration or a more rugged commercial specification. Operators can reconfigure the deck layout with removable benches, dive racks and storage modules, enabling a quick transition between dive missions and guest transfer.
“While there are catamaran tenders and multipurpose dive boats out there, not many have been designed entirely around divers,” says Matthew Jay, Project Manager at ROAM “Most platforms are adapted leisure or guest tenders, but the C12 was conceived from day one for dive operations, and every detail serves
that purpose.”
A platform for the next generation of exploration
With the C12, ROAM has created a capable, future-focused tender that delivers on performance, practicality and versatility, a robust workhorse that feels equally suited to remote expeditions and refined guest service.
