A contract for the construction of a new hybrid floating dock marks the largest single investment in ISKRA Shipyard’s long-term development plan.
The contract, valued at over €30 million, was signed in Varna, Bulgaria, by Roko Vuletić, Ph.D., CEO of ISKRA Shipyard Šibenik, and Danail Slavov, General Director of TEREM-SHIPYARD Flotski Arsenal - VARNA LTD, where the dock will be built. The project is designed by Norden Ship Design House (Turkey), combining world-class design, sustainability, and innovation.
The new hybrid dock, built from reinforced marine concrete with steel side towers, combines durability, longevity, and minimal maintenance. The floating dock will enable the servicing of a wide range of vessels — from large Jadrolinija ferries to yachts over 70 metres and future Croatian Navy corvettes.
