Following a successful first session at the Workboat Association AGM in Leeds today, the momentum now builds for the next Get Set for Workboat 2050 session in Rotterdam. Today’s event closed with strong engagement, lively debate, and a clear appetite for deeper collaboration on the industry’s path toward decarbonisation.
The second session taking place 26 March 2026 at the iconic Wereldmuseum, Rotterdam, will expand on the themes that resonated strongly in Leeds; sustainable operations, efficiency, and future-ready fleet strategies. Organised in partnership with The Workboat Association and the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR), the Rotterdam event will bring together operators, innovators, regulators, and maritime leaders from across Europe.
A key focus for 2026 is the human, financial, and technological dimensions of decarbonising workboat operations — from crew training and behavioural change to insurance frameworks that shape investment in greener fleets. Attendees will also experience an innovation showcase, spotlighting circular economy solutions, AI-driven optimisation tools, and next-generation onboard systems designed to reduce emissions and extend vessel life.
Get Set for Workboat 2050 offers unmatched networking opportunities and a chance to help shape the industry’s roadmap toward 2050. Rotterdam promises not only insights but actionable strategies that organisations can take home and put into practice.
