A new torque dense, reliable gyroscopic stabiliser designed for commercial vessels, offering flexible installation, low maintenance, and straightforward system integration, Gyroline will exhibit the GL5 gyroscopic stabiliser at Seawork 2026 (Stand A5, Hall 1). Designed for commercial marine use, the GL5 focuses on reliability, serviceability, and flexible installation for both new builds and retrofit projects.
Delivering 11,700 Nm torque and 4,500 Nms angular momentum, it suits vessels up to 18 tonnes. Initial stabilisation is achieved in ~10 minutes, with full speed in 26 minutes (7500 rpm). The compact 611 × 611 × 581 mm unit weighs 350 kg, allowing it to fit in into tight engine rooms.
Multiple mounting options (floor, between stringers, or custom) and external cooling (forced air or raw water) provide layout flexibility. With 5-year coolant intervals, replaceable bearings, and a sealed hydraulic system, maintenance is minimised.
Compatible with 12/24 VDC and 90–240 VAC, the GL5 integrates easily into standard onboard systems.
