Izmir firsts

The first of the IZ 1500 AL - High Speed Aluminum Marine Police Patrol Boats has been delivered in Izmir, Turkey by Izmir Shipyard.

Built to Turkish Lloyd Classification, the 14.6m IZ 1500 AL Marine Police Patrol Boats, constructed in 5083 marine aluminium, can achieve 42 kts with the Volvo Penta IPS 700 ensuring stability, durability and excellent manoeuvrability at high speed.

The vessel is equipped with an “Aselsan Martı” gyroscopic thermal vision system, Garmin navigation and electronic control systems along with fully automated Humphree trim and list optimization systems. The IZ 1500 ALs are designed to perform inspection, surveillance and high speed patrol tasks, in line with law enforcement authority requirements, in the most demanding sea conditions.
