Mark Downer, previously Engineering Director at Griffon Hoverwork, has been promoted to the position of Managing Director.
The company announced the leadership transition as part of its ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation, “With 12 years of experience at Griffon Hoverwork, Mark has demonstrated outstanding technical and business acumen.
“Mark has strong working relationships with all Griffon customers and brings a deep understanding of the global marine industry along with a passion to leverage Griffon’s track record in innovation to benefit both existing and new clients.
“We are confident he will continue to drive our mission of delivering sustainable excellence in hovercraft, marine, and related innovative technologies.”
Griffon Hoverwork has grown to become a global leader in hovercraft and specialist amphibious technology under the leadership of Adrian Went, who has decided to step back from his day-to-day responsibilities after over 15 successful years as Managing Director. Adrian will remain closely involved with the business in a consultative capacity.
A recent delivery for Griffon Hoverwork comprised two new 2000TD hovercraft for the Polish Border Guard, with the two vessels now in service following an official ceremony in Stara Pasłęka. The new craft join an existing fleet of Griffon hovercraft which will be used year-round for patrol and rescue duties.
