Speed@Seawork welcomes Pete Lagden, the new MOD DE&S Boats Team Leader, who will present at this year’s Speed@Seawork event.
Appointed in March of this year, Pete is an experienced Project and Engineering Manager with over 30 years delivery experience, 16 years within DE&S, across the technically complex rotary wing & Land communications environments and project life cycle.
Following a full and successful Army career in the Royal Signals, Pete joined the Chinook Programme within DE&S in 2008 as a technical specialist, supporting delivery of multiple EW programmes onto rotary aircraft, and becoming Head of Capability in 2017.
Promoted to Ships Domain in January 2022, he led the Maritime Systems Support Transformation (MaST) Programme, delivering a much needed change to the way Maritime Systems Support (MSS) is provided to the Royal Navy.
Whilst in DE&S, Pete has received 2 MinDP Awards and was nominated for the Inspirational Project Leader Award at the Defence Project Delivery Awards 2022 and Team Excellence Award.
