A £50 million contract covering in excess of 250 vessels has been secured by Golden Arrow Marine, leading to the formation of new division Golden Arrow Technologies.
The Boats In-Service Support (BISS26) programme forms part of a wider UK Government initiative to support and maintain a fleet of military and police boats, strengthening national security capability while supporting skilled jobs and long-term investment across the UK maritime and defence sectors.
The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) BISS26 contract, working with the Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) team to provide in-service support for UK defence boats, will see Golden Arrow Marine deliver ongoing maintenance, servicing and sustainment to ensure continued reliability and operational readiness.
Golden Arrow Marine, part of Salterns Marina Limited, has been supporting these types of assets in demanding and extreme environments for over 10 years, building extensive experience in maintenance, integration, training and operational support. This contract represents a natural progression for the business and comes at an important time as it moves to the next stage of its development.
As part of this evolution, the teams delivering this work will operate as Golden Arrow Technologies, a newly established division expanding the business beyond traditional marine activity into wider engineering and operational capabilities.
This includes work across advanced systems integration, specialist platforms and global asset delivery and support - positioning the business for continued growth across defence, security and related sectors.
Nick Smith, Managing Director of Salterns Marina Limited, commented, “We’re proud to be working with the MOD on the delivery of this seven-year contract, supporting the operational readiness of UK defence boats. This award reflects the strength of our team and the depth of our capability built over the past decade.
“As we commence delivery from April 2026, we’re also looking ahead to the future of Golden Arrow Technologies. This next phase allows us to expand our capabilities beyond traditional marine defence and continue developing innovative solutions across a broader range of complex and demanding environments.”
