HamiltonJet is the power behind MS Rosesol, one of Norway’s most modern ambulance boats.
Now in service with GulenSkyss on behalf of Helse Førde, the 23m vessel is designed for critical care on the coast. Built by Måløy Verft and stationed at Hardbakke in Solund, MS Rosesol is ready to serve communities from Gulen in the south to Atløy in the north.
Measuring 23 metres in length with a beam of 7.8 metres, the blue-light vessel can reach a top speed of 32 knots powered by twin HamiltonJet HTX42 jets with AVX control systems.
Particular attention has been given to ensuring excellent seaworthiness in challenging weather conditions, providing a secure and comfortable environment for both patients and crew. The vessel is also equipped with cutting-edge navigation systems to support safe operation in all-weather scenarios.
A designated winch area is located on the coachroof, enabling patients to be hoisted via helicopter, or allowing medical personnel to be winched aboard. Onboard, a 32m² treatment room with dual stretcher capacity and a helicopter winch area ensures rapid, life-saving support – even in the toughest conditions.
