Best practice that has resulted from legislation in the aviation sector is now becoming commonplace within the marine sector, says Katie Beston, Sales Director at Red Box Tools and Foam Ltd.
The company specialises in customised shadow foaming for tools, including pre-designed tool kits, or bespoke, fully customisable tool kits tailored to your requirements. “Whilst shadow foaming tool kits in the marine sector is not legislated as of yet, we’re seeing more marine organisations using this system to enable them to see at a quick glance whether all the vital tools are in the box,” says Katie. She cites a recent example of a superyacht client in the Netherlands. Red Box created bespoke foam shadow tool kits to enable their engineers to keep track of their tools and to easily see at the end of a shift whether any tools were missing. “This ensures they are never without key products, or if tools have been lost or damaged, and it enables vital pieces of equipment to be replaced before it becomes critical for a specific task,” says Katie.
With the growing demand from the marine sector, Red Box Tools and Foam Ltd, based at Totton, has returned to exhibit at Seawork after a gap of some 5 years, and is making its presence known with the entire stand, and sales team, resplendent in red.
