A contract signed between Williams Shipping and Neptune Marine at Seawork confirms that a third EuroCarrier will join the Williams Shipping fleet, with delivery scheduled for August 2025.
The new EuroCarrier 2495, to be built by Dutch shipbuilder Neptune, will be fitted with both an A-frame and plough. The additional capability is intended to support Williams Shipping’s expanding operations in marine services, particularly in port and coastal work.
The deal reinforces a growing relationship between the two companies, with Neptune already having supplied two similar vessels to the Southampton UK-based operator.
Williams Shipping Managing Director of Marine, Philip Williams, Chairman, Eric Williams, and Marine Operations Director, Richard Brooks, were all present at the signing which took place on the Neptune stand with shipyard owner and Managing Director Martin de Kok; one of the headline commercial moments of the Seawork 2025 exhibition. While financial details were not disclosed, both parties described the order as a continuation of a “strong and long-standing partnership.”
The order comes as part of Williams Shipping’s wider growth strategy, which includes expanding its marine and lubricants division, and investing in both digital systems and environmentally focused equipment. In 2024, the company opened a new cargo office at Dock Gate 20 in partnership with DP World, aimed at improving logistics efficiencies.
The firm has also made recent investments in port handling equipment powered by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), as part of its commitment to sustainability and supporting the port's net-zero ambitions.
