As the Chief Mechanical Engineer of BMT since 2004, John has been involved with technical issue and challenges relating to the design, operation and support of diesel engines, fuels and energy saving technologies (EST). He has been a naval engineer since 1984 working on the broad range of engineering systems on warships, submarines and commercial ships. He first presented on the topic of future fuels back in 2008, when he published a paper at the 2008 International Naval Engineering Conference.
As chief engineer John is responsible for maintaining the professional quality standards and the development of tools, information and methods to support mechanical engineering activities.
