Europe’s largest indoor dry boat storage unit has taken powering up with solar energy to a whole new level with the successful completion of a monumental solar power system.
With a capacity of 640 kW, Trafalgar Wharf’s new installation, situated atop the Trafalgar Drystack building near Portsmouth UK, brings sustainable energy to the site, making a significant impact on the local environment.
Trafalgar Wharf says the results are impressive - ‘a staggering 223 megawatt hours of green power has been produced in just a few months, the equivalent of powering electric vehicles for approximately 743,333 miles and a distance that could take you around the Earth over 29 times! ‘
Serving as a sustainable power source for the various buildings and businesses within the site, Trafalgar Wharf is justifiably proud of its solar initiative that supports the transition towards a more eco-friendly Portsmouth area.
