IASME works with a network of more than 900 cyber security experts to help organisations of all sizes to improve and demonstrate their cyber security. IASME also certifies connected devices and commercial maritime vessels of all sizes from across the world. IASME is the sole delivery partner for the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Cyber Essentials and Cyber Advisor schemes, as well as the Delivery Partner for the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) Defence Cyber Certification, which strengthens the cyber resilience of the UK’s defence supply chain.
In addition, IASME is one of two Delivery Partners for the NCSC’s Industry Assurance Schemes, including Cyber Incident Exercising and the Cyber Incident Response Standard Level.
Beyond these partnerships, IASME operates three independent cyber security certification schemes for organisations, marine vessels, and IoT devices. Through these initiatives, IASME has made a significant impact on improving the UK’s overall cyber security.
One of the schemes is The Maritime Cyber Baseline scheme which provides an affordable and practical way for vessel owners, operators, managers, and builders to improve the cyber security systems onboard their vessels and helps reduce the possibility of a cyber attack occurring. Maritime Cyber Baseline covers all vessel classifications and supports a path towards compliance within the IMO Maritime Cyber Risk Management guidelines. The Maritime Cyber Baseline scheme is supported by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.
