Business Development opportunity seized

Landau Marine has stepped up to take on a new Business Development Manager as the company looks towards business returning after a difficult few months.

Marie Vockins joins Landau with 10 years’ experience working in a corporate & sales environment; growing businesses financially and building and maintaining customer relationships throughout her career. She will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities, building and maintaining current customer relationships, increasing sales, and Key client Management

Marie spent 7 years working in insurance where she became the face of an insurance plantargeted at marine customers. In this role she delivered successful projects and marketing strategies and also became the on-going lead contact for the marine sector of the business.

Her qualifications and training include Level 6 Diploma Management & Leadership, Aviation Management & Engineering, Diploma in Sales Management and she is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Insurers (CII)

Ben Metcalfe, CEO Landau Marine said, “After a very difficult few months for every business across all sectors and regions, Landau is taking small steps towards business as usual. A silver lining from the COVID 19 pandemic means Landau Marine was presented with the opportunity to employ Marie Vockins as Business Development Manager.”

“Firstly the pandemic meant Marie was able to consider the position at Landau, and secondly Landau arranged principles and hardware allowing office staff to work from home, so we were able to employ Marie to fulfil the role whilst based in the Midlands.”

“Marie, well known to many having worked for many years in the marine industry, will be bringing new contacts and reinforcing existing relationships. I am excited to welcome her to our strong and passionate team, adding further energy and enthusiasm to Landau Marine.”
