Following the award of a significant Subsea Production System contract, a good year for AIS looks set to continue with additional structures now also expected in FY2023.
The insulation of 47-off Christmas Trees, as part of a Norwegian North Sea development, was quickly followed by an award for the insulation of eight off-flow control modules. Up to 35 structures are now also expected in addition to the previous awards.
The work will be executed in Curitiba, Brazil, using AIS’ flexible subsea insulation solution ContraTherm® C25.
Vicky James, Head of Subsea Sales had this to say, “AIS is delighted to receive this important award, built on a long-standing relationship with the customer and our extensive track record in delivering for them to the highest quality. Strong teamwork, amongst different functions at AIS, has underpinned our success in this project. This allowed us to contribute to the customers design from the get-go so we can offer a truly engineered solution.”
Work will be completed throughout several campaigns and will run from Feb 2024 to early 2026.
AIS specialises in flow assurance requirements for complex subsea equipment such as jumpers, tie-in spools, risers, goosenecks, PLETs, PLEMs, XTs and manifold structures.
