Emails, letters and now impersonation – it’s scammer season once more.
The latest example sees someone purporting to be an Exhibits & Exhibition Manager at Seawork offering to sell a pre-registered attendee list for Seawork 2025. Keep a watch out too for the perennial mailings asking to sign and return a form confirming company details, usually within the International Fairs Guide, International Fairs Directory or the Expo Guide.
Once again Seawork and organiser Mercator Media Ltd. (MML), would like to reassure its clients and visitors that it does not permit third parties to undertake unsolicited mailing (email or otherwise) to its customers, or to use the exhibition logos or any other intellectual property.
We are very sorry that this nuisance activity continues to take place and can only advise our clients and visitors to be super careful not to fall into the various scammer traps and waste their money – they will not be buying what is purported to be for sale as we do not sell that information.
