Fast delivery set to be repeated

The successful delivery of two vessels in 2021 despite the challenges of the global pandemic, with another one slated for delivery early 2022, has led to a further contract for an additional 42m Fast Crew Boat.

Powered by three Cummins KTA50 engines, cruising at 30 knots and reaching top speeds of more than 31 knots, the vessel will be the latest bespoke design FCB Strategic Marine delivers for Centus Marine.

Designed with rigorous weight control measures to boost performance, the vessel incorporates robust hull engineering specifically designed for tough commercial environments and demanding offshore conditions where it will be operational.

Centus Marine said: “We are pleased to confirm our latest 42m Crew Boat order with Strategic Marine.  This boat is tailored to our specific offshore operating conditions and thanks to Strategic Marine’s policy of continuous improvement, we’ve been able to influence vessel design incorporating crew and passenger feedback which has proved really valuable, helping keep us at the forefront of this competitive market.”

Crew comfort is a priority which is reflected in the interior arrangement of the vessel. There is accommodation for up to 100 personnel in spacious business class recliner seats, dedicated luggage racks and an accommodation area that offers 12 berths in seven cabins.  The new vessel also offers bow boarding, an enlarged wheelhouse and a large incorporated deck storage area with wide walkways to ensure safe and efficient crew transfer in challenging offshore conditions.

Strategic Marine’s General Manager Commercial, Mr Wayne Poh said, “Centus Marine’s repeat ordering is a clear endorsement of Strategic Marine’s commitment to first class customer service, high quality performance vessels and continuous engineering excellence.  By building strong relationships with our clients we can exceed their expectations and support the growth and development of their business operations. We look forward to working with Centus Marine into the future, tailoring their vessels to deliver the very best for their offshore marine services.”

Strategic Marine Group has now built and delivered more than 600 vessels constructed in both aluminium and steel for a variety of clients in the maritime, offshore and naval defence sectors. Strategic Marine’s Fast Crew Boats have a strong reputation amongst experienced operators around the world, enhancing the company’s reputation for high-performance vessels built on time and to budget.
