In business for just twelve years, Safeguard Engineering has grown from its original two founding Directors to a team of 60+ highly experienced safety engineers and environmentalists.
Four new members have now joined the environmental, safety and engineering consultancy providers teams in Liverpool, Portsmouth and Bristol in the past few weeks.
Vicky Hannigan is the new Framework and Opportunity Manager at the Liverpool office, bringing with her over 11 years of experience in complex consultancy environments. Coming from a large engineering consultancy, where she worked as Operations Lead, Vicky excels in managing client relationships, supporting bid activity and ensuring compliance with relevant processes and standards.
Mark Wraith has recently joined the Portsmouth team as a Principal Maritime Safety Consultant. Joining Safeguard from AtkinsRéalis where he was the Maritime Safety Discipline Manager, Mark brings extensive experience in Ships, Submarines and Nuclear domains (both in safety and Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) design).
Graduates Jessica Marsh and Jake Marsh take their places within the Bristol team. Graduate Safety Engineer Jessica graduated last year with a Masters in Engineering from the University of Oxford, where she specialised in mechanical engineering and fluid mechanics. Jake, a recent graduate from the University of Bristol with a BEng in Aerospace Engineering, brings valuable experience from his time working at MBDA, where he was part of the Image Processing department, working with algorithms and AI systems. Jake also has hands-on experience with safety of energetics and hazardous environments which will be put to good use at Safeguard Engineering.
Safeguard Engineering is home to highly qualified engineers and consultants from diverse disciplines, including safety, marine, aviation, weapons and explosives, air traffic management, and environmental sciences. Signatories to the Armed Forces Covenant, Safeguard Engineering was granted a Silver Award under the UK Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
